Risa has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. Her interests include camping, horseback riding, traveling, and generally spending time outdoors.  She lives in Bend with her husband, their herd of 5 tiny dogs and 3 horses.

I have been working in the veterinary field for the past 11 years.  Central Oregon has always been home for me and I cannot imagine living anywhere else with my 6 dogs.

Being part of this new practice has been an amazing experience and I am enjoying the challenges of managing a growing practice while still being able to interact with our clients and their pets.

My husband and I moved to Bend in 2003.  We enjoy being part of the community and participating in all the outdoor activities with our children and pets.

My background is in wildlife biology and have worked with a variety animals and establishments since 1997.  I haved enjoyed working in veterinary medicine both assisting in back and with clients up front.  Brookswood Animal Clinic is a fabulous place to be.

Lisa is our Lead Technician, her interests are Anesthesia and Animal behavior. She obtained her CVT in 2007 while working for Dr. Bolinger at Blue Sky veterinary Clinic. She takes pride in taking care of your pets as if they were her own, and modifying thier handling to fit thier individual needs. Her previous experience was working for a multi-doctor 24 hours Emergency Hospital in Sonoma County Ca for 6 years. She still occasionally moonlights at the emergency clinic up here to get her fix ;).

Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, camping & riding horses. She also is the leader of a small 4H horse group and enjoys dedicating her time to share 4h with the kids.

I joined the Brookswood team in May 2017. As a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian but the surgical aspect of it steered me away the older I got. I worked in the food and communication industries for several years before eventually landing in the vet field in 2010, where I feel like I was always meant to be. I have done volunteer work at the SPCA of Tampa Bay and have always been an animal lover (excluding snakes and monkeys). Although from Connecticut and living for many years in Clearwater Florida, Oregon has always felt like home to me. My husband and I moved to Portland in 2011, and relocated to Bend in 2017 to live out our tiny house dreams. In between doing work on our tiny home and spending time with our kitty Lemon, we are avid hikers and always are down for a good road trip.
